Why did you not vote for school legislation?

    Dear Ms. Neighbor:

As one of your constituents, I hope you will take the time to read this short note and then faithfully represent the wishes of a majority of our community. Although I’m 64 years old and registered as a Republican, I feel that gun control issues should be a non-partisan issue. Please do the following:

Do not arm teachers with guns – This idea is politically motivated by the NRA and those politicians who receive its donations. If you vote for recent proposed legislation to arm teachers with guns, I will regretfully encourage everyone I know to vote for your opponent in the next election.

Vote for stricter control over gun ownership:

1 – Push for a ban on semiautomatic rifles. Regular citizens do not need this type of weapon.

2 – Promote increased restrictions when it comes to background checks for gun purhcases

3 – Close the gun show loophole so that only licensed sellers, who have to perform background

checks, are able to sell guns

If you fail to push for stricter controls over gun ownership, I will encourage my friends to vote for your opponent in the next election.

Push for stronger safety measures at our elementary schools:

1 – Controls to monitor who enters the schools

    2 – Metal detectors

    3 – Guards

    Thank you,

    Douglas Judd

I write a monthly column for Star 913 and might do one on dirty rotten liars like the people who put out the many mailed fliers against you. One of them suggested you were a TIF giveaway advocate. I happened to be at a S-M board meeting when you came out against Brookridge. I’d like to talk to you about this, get more than the two fliers I have, hear your thoughts about it. Incidentally, the Koch brothers, who backs the Kansans for Prosperity that attacks you, have made their fortune partly from tax giveaways. But I need to talk to you, Cindy.

    Rep. Neighbor,

I’m concerned to find out that just West of us there are plans for a new Tyson facility that had been kept under wraps until now. With prevailing winds traveling to the East, right into our district, I’m horrified at the prospect of the smell. Is there anything that can be done to stop this? Why was it kept secret?

    Thanks,

    Seth

We’re reviewing candidates for the upcoming primary. Your bio says that you retired as a “Sedation Specialist and CFO for dental practice” and your Linkedin site lists you as COO at Discover Dental Care.

We both taught at the UMKC School of Dentistry and we would like to know your credentials as a “Sedation Specialist”. Do you have a medical or dental license?

Thank you. We do trust the Mainstream Coalition and they are recommending you, however there are questions that remain.

NPE Action is interested to learn about the positions held by the candidates in the the race for school . We understand how critically important such races can be.

When we discover outstanding candidates that support our issues, and it is a race that we are able to support, we endorse. If you are interested in securing our endorsement, the first step is to complete a questionnaire, so that we can learn more about you.

Here is the link to that questionnaire.

I am seeing a LOT of Cindy Neighbor political signs in random locations that appear to be placed without requisite approval. This happens with Cindy Neighbor campaigns every election cycle and, as I am writing this, I am asking why this campaign is doing this? I will list just THREE locations that prompt this “concern”…1. north side of Johnson Drive, just East of Pflumm. 2. east side of Pflumm just north of Johnson Drive, and south side of 55th, just east of Pflumm.
